ALPD® Laser Light Source Save Power !

Cinema operation is an art that requires careful planning. Saving electricity often help a lot in cost reduction. Today, we’ll show you how ALPD® upgrade help the cinema save electricity. There are same projectors. One is xenon lamp projector and the other one was upgraded with ALPD®. How much power can be saved?
The same projectors were originally used in Halls No.8 and 9 of Dadi Cinema (at Ifree in SM Binhai City Plaza, Tinajin). In June 2021, the cinema upgraded Hall 9 with the ALPD® laser light source, while Hall 8 still uses the former xenon lamp projector. In 2022, after more than 8 months put-in-use, the CINEAPPO engineer tested the consumption data again with the following result :
A Single Hall Saves Over RMB 10,000 Yuan(Nearly 1500 Dollars)
Under almost same film arrangement everyday, the hall with a laser-based projector saves 7,983KW·H electricity than that with a xenon lamp projector after nearly 8-and-a half-month operations. Calculated at RMB 1 Yuan per KW·H, the total electricity saving will be about RMB 7,983 Yuan(about 1,175 dollars). The yearly average electricity saving of a single hall will reach to about RMB 1,1200 Yuan(about 1648 dollars). It can be referred that the yearly electricity saving can mount to nearly RMB 80,000 Yuan(about 11,778 dollars) if a cinema with 7 or 8 halls are all upgraded into those with laser-based projectors.
At the same time, tests by professional engineers show that even under such extreme electricity saving condition, ALPD® laser light source can still run with only 50% power while keeping the brightness 1.5 times that of Hall 8. So it’s not only electricity saving but also ensuring better projecting quality.
